Art lovers are invited to the Hastings Gallery at the Boyd Library on the Sandhills Community College campus to visit “Human Resources” a new art exhibition for spring semester.

The exhibition begs the question - “Who is working today and what kind of work do we, as a society, value?” This exhibition of sculptures, textiles, and surfaces produced from blue-collar workwear asks viewers to reflect on where the objects in our lives are made and who is making them.

Artist Kasia Ozga'a cast, sewn and printed forms evoke bodies kept out of sight and out of mind that produce products vital to our daily lives. Ozga is a Sculpture Professor at UNC Greensboro.

The opening reception will take place on Thursday, January 30 from 12 to 2 p.m. at the Hastings Gallery in the Boyd Library on the campus of 91Ӱ and remain open until March 2, 2025. Hours of the gallery are: Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; and closed on Sunday.
